Kabuto Drop In Forced Reset Device™ Kit - Three Position

A Kabuto is a drop-in forced-reset (reset-assist) device for AR-15-pattern rifles and AR-pattern PCCs. The name is Japanese for “helmet.” It is often misspelled “Kubota.” It is not a complete replacement trigger cassette. It works with the trigger you already have.

That is the same basic idea as a Hoffman-style super safety or other FRDs, with one practical difference: the Kabuto is built so you do not have to cut the rear of the trigger. A standard mil-spec trigger (and, on many kits, Geissele and LaRue triggers) can stay in the gun. This version is made entirely out of metal and does not require an M16 Trigger Shoe like other variations do with the use of the included safety selector.

The included THREE POSITION selector still works as a normal safety if you pull the Kabuto out, so you do not have to swap safeties to go back to plain semi.
