The Taurus TX22 replaces the factory disconnector. As the slide cycles, the modified part mechanically forces the trigger forward into the reset position. This lets you maintain rearward pressure and fire successive shots much more rapidly (limited mainly by the slide’s cycle speed) while still requiring one deliberate trigger function per round. It remains a semi-automatic system—one function of the trigger per shot—rather than converting the pistol to full-auto.
In short, it’s a simple way to turn a cheap, high-capacity .22 into a high-volume plinker without permanent gun modifications.
