Purpose: A short buffer tube kit is a compact version of the standard buffer tube used in AR-style rifles. It's typically used in pistol rifle builds to reduce the overall length of the firearm while maintaining proper cycling of the action. These kits include a shorter buffer tube, buffer tube cap, end plate, castle nut, guide rod, recoil spring, bolt carrier insert and wave spring.
