Description

Purpose: Flash Hiders reduce and flash that happens at the barrel's tip when gases are emitted at high speed. These will break up the expulsion and spread out the gases and cool them down. They will also help protect your eyesight when shooting in dim or nighttime lighting conditions. We recommend using 15-20 Foot-Pounds of pressure when installing. One Crush Washer is included.

Features: The A2 birdcage is the standard U.S. military flash hider used on M16A2, M4, and most AR-15 rifles. It features a short, slotted "birdcage" design (typically five slots) that effectively reduces muzzle flash by dispersing burning gases.
It threads onto standard 1/2×28 barrels, adds very little length or weight, and provides a mild recoil-reducing effect. The A2 is also designed to be compatible with the M203 grenade launcher. Made of tough steel, it remains one of the most common and reliable muzzle devices on 5.56 rifles.
