Description
Purpose: A gas tube channels high-pressure propellant gases from the barrel back to the bolt carrier group (BCG) inside the upper receiver. This allows the rifle to automatically cycle the action: ejecting the spent casing, cocking the hammer, and chambering a new round for semi-automatic (or full-automatic) fire.
